Basic use of fsvn.el

First of all

.emacs

Please put following settings to your .emacs if you can. dot.sample

Repository authentication

Must have cache a password to svn command, when you need to authorize repository.

M-x fsvn-authenticate-repository

input repository url and password.

Basic operation 1

fsvn create many buffers to output the svn command results. If you want to remove all these buffers, execute following command.

M-x fsvn-global-cleanup-buffer

Sample of setting indicate a key settings to C-x v M-c

Fsvn Browse

Summary

Boot if directory have .svn directory instead of `dired' Similar to `dired' but not exactly equals that one.

Often used commands

C-c C-u Update current directory (update)
C-c C-c Prepare commit buffer for current directory by `Fsvn Select File' (commit)
z a Add cursor file or marked files (add)
z d Mark as delete for cursor file or marked files (delete)
z c Prepare commit buffer for cursor file or marked files `Fsvn Select File' (commit)
z L Prepare `Fsvn Log View' buffer for current directory (log)
z l Prepare `Fsvn Log View' buffer for cursor file (log)
z p Prepare `Fsvn Proplist' buffer for cursor file (proplist)

C-c C-m C-m Move cursor file or marked files (move)
C-c C-v c Copy cursor file (copy)

Fsvn Message Edit, Fsvn Select File (when commit)

Summary

Can select commit files and input the commit log message.

Often used commands

C-c C-c Finish edit and commit
C-c C-k Discard all edit
C-c C-o Switch related buffer if exists
= = Execute diff if cursor file is under subversion (Only `Fsvn Select File')
= e Same as `= =' but using ediff

Fsvn Log View

Advanced use

Advanced use of Log View Mode

Summary

Listing svn log file or directory.

Often used commands

= = Execute diff with working copy. When region activated, diff with region terminated point revision
= v Execute diff between point and previous revision. [After 0.9.11]
= e Same as `= =' but using ediff
n Move to next line and get old log if need
p Move to previous line
C-c C-k Finish log

Fsvn Proplist

Summary

Can show, add, delete svn properties.

Often used commands

C-m Display cursor property value
a Add svn property
d Mark as delete to cursor property
e Edit cursor property
r Mark as recursive to cursor property
u Unmark cursor property
x Execute all marks
C-c C-k Finish property list

Fsvn Propedit

Summary

Can show, edit svn property.

Often used commands

C-c C-c Save editing
C-c C-k Discard editing
C-c C-o Back to Fsvn Proplist buffer
C-c C-r Mark to buffer as recursive

Fsvn Processes

Summary

Listing Emacs processes and execute operations. On default settings, only showing the fsvn processes.

Often used commands

d Mark as delete to cursor process
m Mark to cursor process
u Unmark cursor process
x Execute delete mark
C-c C-t Display all emacs sub processes
C-c C-p Send password to marked files
C-m Display process buffer (Careful to edit
C-c C-k Finish listing
